SEWE 2025

This weekend was SEWE ( South Eastern Wildlife Expo) hosted every year in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, this event brings together people from across the country to celebrate wildlife and conservation. It is literally the weekend I look forward to every year!

This year I had the pleasure of introducing Forrest Gallante as well as Busch wildlife Sanctuary for each of their shows. I also learned and put to good use the “critter cam”. What an amazing weekend!

Costa Rica & Sea Turtle Research

In July, I had the opportunity to visit Costa Rica. This was not a vacation but a research trip to study sea turtles! In the wild, in the sand, in the heat….. but it was incredible!

One this trip I helped create a sea turtle nesting facility. All eggs collected during this season will be held there away from predators and poachers to hopefully lead to a more successful breeding season.

I also went to tag turtles. What an amazing experience to get out in the wild, in their natural habitat to hold them, tag them, feel their strength!

This was something I will never forget.

Teen Vogue

I am still pinching myself. Being featured in magazines like Teen Vogue is still so crazy to me.

Sharing my story is something I have always done just in hopes to inspire others to create change where ever they are in the world, especially youth!

HELP NEEDED!

If you could please write a letter, long or short, about how sharks are important or impact our ecosystems, that would be huge!!! Sharks are not classified as wildlife in Costa Rica! How crazy is that?

Sharks are wildlife and should be classified as such! Together we can make this happen but legislators have to hear from the people that care!

You can email your letter to me at theconservationkid@gmail.com
But please, time is of the essence, so in the next week would be great!
