Did you know female sea turtles can lay up to 180 eggs in each clutch? That means dad sea turtles can have A LOT of babies. It’s thought sea turtles can live up to 50 years or more but most are endangered due to human activity such as accidental capture by fishing gear, they are also killed for their eggs, meat, skin and shells, and poaching. Climate change also impacts sea turtle nesting beaches and eggs. These are amazing creatures and deserve to be protected and cared for.
